FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT CBD & HARVEST HEMP

  • FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT CBD & HARVEST HEMP

WHAT IS CBD?

CBD (which stands for cannabidiol) is a naturally occurring compound found in the resin of flowering cannabis plants. CBD is just one type of cannabinoid out of hundreds present in the cannabis plant. These compounds interact with our endocannabinoid system, which consists of a network of endogenous receptors. Those receptors contribute to the mediation of inflammation, nausea, pain, and an array of other biological functions throughout our bodies.CBD is therapeutic in nature, non-intoxicating, easy to self-administer, and due to its adaptable nature, has been used to address a variety of symptoms - from pain and inflammation to anxiety and depression. Scientific research into CBD is booming in popularity, and we are learning more about its potential health benefits than ever before.

IS CBD LEGAL FOR ME?

The short answer is YES, CBD is federally legal as long as it contains no more than 0.3% THC, according to the 2018 Farm Bill which removed hemp from the Controlled Substances Act and expanded its commercial/industrial cultivation.

Now, for the longer answer: CBD is in a bit of a grey area legally when we consider both state and federal laws, and the recent changes in them due to the prohibition of marijuana, and the confusion surrounding how it differs from hemp. Some state laws have put restrictions on the sale of particular products containing CBD. For example, some states restrict the sale of CBD in food products. As regulations are constantly changing, and differ state to state, it’s important to do a bit of research and to double check your local regulations. The FDA is currently in the midst of evaluating CBD and its safety. They have recently given the green light for a pharmaceutical form of CBD to be manufactured into a prescription drug but have yet to release their final ruling on CBD consumer products.

WHY SHOULD I TRUST THESE PRODUCTS?

All of the products featured on Harvest Hemp have been meticulously curated. Our selection process is competitive, and all products must meet certain quality standards to be on our site. These products have been personally tested by our team and have gone through rigorous third-party lab testing to ensure you get the best products that the industry has the offer.

Third-Party lab testing refers to the process in which a private lab (which is not affiliated with the product manufacturer or the distributor) conducts a scientific analysis of a product. Because there is no federal regulation of CBD, this testing is extremely important to ensure that you’re getting what you’ve paid for. This testing generally includes confirming a products potency (how much CBD is actually in the product), purity, and quality (are there heavy metals, pesticides, etc. present). Third-party lab tests provide an unbiased method for holding manufacturers accountable, and we take them very seriously.

We analyze the COAs of all of our products and ensure that only reputable products are sold on our site. You can be sure that a product purchased from Harvest Hemp will contain exactly what’s advertised.

WHICH CBD PRODUCT IS RIGHT FOR ME?

First, it’s important to determine if you want a Full-Spectrum or THC-Free product. Full-Spectrum products contain less than 0.3% THC, and should not show up on a drug test due to just how small those levels of THC actually are. That being said, very few CBD companies will guarantee that you won’t fail a drug test while taking a full-spectrum product, so if you are subject to testing through your job or otherwise, it may be best for you to shop from our THC-Free Selection of Products.

That being said, there are a lot of other factors that go into finding the perfect CBD product for you. We've created an easy to navigate buying guide to help you find the ideal CBD products for your specific needs, and to aid you in shaping a treatment plan that optimizes the benefits of this incredible compound. In this guide, we explore the fundamentals of selecting a CBD product, the 5 major delivery methods of CBD, and how to find your perfect dose.
